Firefly Parking Crew needs volunteers! Wave little flags on sticks! Organize vehicles into neat little rows! Master the art of car tetris!
Parking volunteers work closely with greeters to help welcome arriving Fireflies into our event and make sure that everyone gets settled in the safest, simplest way possible. If you want to sign up for a Parking shift at the same time your friends are doing Greeters, you can check the Greeters Schedule on the FF website.
Shift Head – the person who is responsible for making sure everything runs smoothly. Not necessarily in the parking lot at all times, but must be on call to help in case a Flag Waver doesn’t show up, or there is a large number of cars arriving at once. If you want to be a Shift Head, email us first.
Flag Waver – the person who, yup, waves the flags, and directs cars to their spots, also responsible for making sure that parking permits are clearly visible at the time cars are parked. Hang out with the greeters, and then when cars arrive direct them in an orderly fashion to the nearest parking spot. No prior flag-waving experience necessary.
How to Sign Up
Update! Evil spam trolls have devoured the online Parking Schedule! So much for open web-based signup. To sign up for a parking shift, please send an email to parking@fireflyartscollective.org indicating the day/time you’d like to volunteer for, and we’ll update the (new, far humbler) schedule accordingly.
